Silla-Tierra
Book 3 of the mysterious wheelchair
Chapter 2 Mr. Quzefuly finds himself in Silla-Tierra
Mr. Quzefuly was expecting to see the street outside of the hospital, but instead he was in an office and he saw a desk with a bunch of computers. Seeing computers reminded him of his time as a computer technician fourteen years ago. Which did not make sense to him. He was thinking that maybe he had traveled back in time to when he was working on computers. So he decided to use the computer monitor as a mirror. Instead of seeing his face like he had expected, he saw the backrest of a wheelchair with, what looked like a face, stitched on. Then he opened his mouth and the reflection also opened its mouth.
Now Mr. Quzefuly thought he was just a computer technician. That was until Mr Stripe, the police chief of Silla-Tierra said, “Thanks for filling in as mayor, Mr. Quzefuly! The mayor before you has been kidnapped by the Oidohombres (ear men).”
Mr. Quezfuly exclaimed “How can I be the mayor! I've only been here in this building for thirty seconds.” But by the time he said that, the police chief was out of the room already. Just then a warning message came on the computer screen, “Remember! Oidohombres are going to bulldoze the city down if they don't get the heart-shaped flowers back.”
Mr. Quzefuly asked “Why would the ear men want to bulldoze the city down?” to another living wheelchair who, unknown to him, is his secretary, who was in the room this whole time. She responded, “Over two thousand wheels ago, they were mad at us and they've held the grudge against us ever since. And because we bulldozed the heart-shaped flowers about ten wheels ago to make room to grow the city, they now want their land back! Ever since detective Zuphixy moved away, the police have been lost on how to deal with the Oidohombres. Zuphixy could walk on two feet like the Oidohombres so it was easier for him to go where they could go.”
Now one thing that's different in Silla-Tierra than the were he came from, was that right now it was a hot summer day. The weather forecast on the computer screen showed the temperature was currently forty degrees Celsius. Which Mr. Quzefuly was not expecting. He was dressed for winter weather.
After learning as much as he could about Silla-Tierra in one work day, he went to the house he would be staying in. As he was looking around he saw a photo on the wall of a man that looked like his son, Zuphixy, beside a purple living wheelchair. What shocked him most was that the man was standing, because his son, to his knowledge, has always been in a wheelchair. He also saw other objects that reminded him of the real world.
He brought the picture with him when he got back to work the next day. He asked the secretary, “Who is this picture of?” From what she said he was convinced it was his son.
Over the day, he saw some log notes about how the police had saved his son, way back when his son was sixteen years old. He learned, at the time, Purpleten was lost in the woods. Which made him remember the story, "The mysterious wheelchair™", which his son had told him way back then. More memories flooded back when his wife also said she had gone to a world where there were living wheelchairs. She had told him that back then she had turned into one, just like he just did. The one thing that stumped him the most was that his son never turned into a living wheelchair, from all the information had learned.
Mr. Quzefuly started to think that maybe Zuphixy was meant to be here instead of him. He decided not to say that to anyone as they probably don't have any control over it, any more than he had control.
