Book 3 of the mysterious wheelchair

Chapter 3: Zuphixy can’t find Mr. Quzefuly

The hospital intercom beeped, and a loud voice said “Dr. Zuphixy to OR stat!” The voice got him out of his state of shock, staring at the rope for a few minutes. He unties the rope from his chair and races to the OR. As he was heading towards the OR, he mumbled to himself, “How can somebody disappear? I was just holding his wheelchair and it just vanished!” Zuphixy was glad in a way that he had to deal with a different patient that needed heart surgery. The only problem was, his mind was still trying to figure out how his father could just vanish in front of him.

Meanwhile inside the hospital Zoofixy Jr. decided to throw off his clothes. Little did he know, his clothes landed in the laundry hamper that got wheeled to the basement to be washed with the bedding. He ran through the hallway yelling, “Grandpa! Grandpa! Where are you?” He ignored the shocked looks everyone gave him as he passed by. He bumped into a cart of food trays, sending the cart rolling down the hall. A nurse dropped a tray of food when she saw him run past her just as the cart rolled away. The sound of the tray hitting the floor echoed. The sound caused other staff to run to see what was happening!

One of the nurses was so shocked at seeing Zoofixy Jr. streaking, that the needle she was holding slipped out of her hand. It flew through the air and landed on Zoofixy Jr. 's back, injecting him with the medication. He was so in the zone he didn't even notice. Suddenly, the medicine from the needle made him have an upset stomach. He was having high adrenaline, so he just kept running. As he was running, he vomited, letting it spray throughout the hallway.

Just then, his father wheeled into the hallway. They collided and Zoofixy Jr. fell on his lap just long enough for his father to remove the needle. Once the needle was removed, Zoofixy Jr. ran away again. Now he doesn't understand what happened. He thought that he was hungry, so he streaked into the cafeteria looking for some food to stop his upset stomach. He grabbed the first thing he could see, which happened to be a sandwich. While eating it, he ran past the cashier. With his mouth full, he said, “Add it to my Dad’s bill”. Without thinking he ran out of the cafeteria’s emergency exit in the snow. When the door opened the fire alarm automatically went off. He was lucky that the cashier saw him go. She let the rest of the hospital know it was a false alarm. He ran to the front of the hospital. He grabbed his snowboard and went home leaving his sandwich in the snow half eaten.

Meanwhile, the laundry staff were stunned to find clothes mixed with sheets because they had never had that happen before. Back at home, Purpleten finished all the Christmas preparations, and yet her family were not back yet. She understood that maybe Zuphixy would be stuck at work. What Purpleten did not like the most, was that her son was not home yet. For whenever he wasn't home by a certain time that meant that he was being a troublemaker. Little does she know that he was streaking the hospital at that time. Now Zuphixy took the car to work and the road still had a lot of snow on the ground.

Just then, Zoofixy Jr. ran into the house still nude, and yelled in a scared voice, "Grandfather disappeared from the hospital and Dad is too busy to care!” Purpleten responded, without registering what she was looking at, “what do you mean? No one can just disappear!” Zoofixy Jr explained “Well all I knew is Dad was pulling Grandfather out of the hospital. Then Grandfather just vanished! So I searched the whole hospital and couldn't find him! Then I came here to see if Grandfather had come here.” Once they had checked every room in the house and found out he wasn't there, Purpleten suggested for her son to go back to his grandfather's place to check if he's back there, which of course he was not.

Back in the hospital, they managed to clean up the mess. Zuphixy decided to see what happened to his son, as streaking was not the right thing to do. Zuphixy followed the snowboard tracks in his car back to the house. When he got there, he found out from Purpleten that their son had gone to his grandfather's place to check if his grandfather was there. Now Zuphixy knew that it was impossible for the grandfather to be back in his house.

His parents thought he went to his grandfather's place. Instead, Zoofixy Jr. went back to the hospital. He was looking for his clothes that he had taken off when he had gone streaking. He was so focused on looking for his clothes that he did not see the empty wheelchair in the hallway. He tripped over it, landing upside down with his feet in the foot rests and his legs sticking up over the handles.
