How Many Mysterious Wheelchairs are there?

Chapter 6: Zuphixy undercover

Zuphixy told Purpleten and Miss. Quzefuly that the police had asked him to go undercover as one of the Oidohombres. At first they were scared that he was putting himself in danger. Zuphixy convinced everyone that it would be the only way that they could keep the city safe from the Ear men if he went undercover. He said “What else can I do while I wait for the flowers to grow?” After that Purpleten, with help from Miss. Quzefuly made a costume that they had made based on a photo she had of Oidohombres.

Zuphixy put on the costume that made him look like an Earman and went back to the abandoned house that he had untied his mother a few weeks before. He went there hoping that he could find a clue to where the Oidohombres had been hiding all the years. As he was doing a detailed search he came across a hidden door that could only be opened with a hand that was shaped like an ear. With the costume Zuphixy now had a hand that could open that door, so he did.

When he got the door open he found a room that looked like a big conference room. Around the table he saw the backs of a bunch of Oidohombres. Zuphixy managed to sneak into the room and found an empty chair to sit in, without any of the Earmen knowing that he was not one of them.

At the meeting of the Oidohombres, Zuphixy learned that they had been hiding underground and they had made a city for themselves. Zuphixy also learned at the meeting that Ear men were planing on starting a war with the living wheelchairs.

After the meeting Zuphixy followed the Oidohombres to the underground city. He managed to spend an hour underground before Ear men knocked him over because he was not very fast in the costume. When he fell his mask fell off his head and the Oidohombres saw that he was not one of them! The Earmen grabbed Zuphixy and took him to the same room where Zuphixy had found the old woman, his mother. After the Ear men had made sure that Zuphixy could not escape, they left and went to the underground hideout.

Meanwhile Purpleten was taking care of the magical flowers, when suddenly she got a feeling that Zuphixy was in trouble. So she had her son go to the police to see if they could make sure Zuphixy was not in danger.

The police knew Zuphixy was going to the run down house, so they started to check there. At first the police did not find Zuphixy. They were about to leave and let Purpleten know that he was not where he had told the police to look for him if something went wrong. Suddenly they saw Zuphixy tied up in the room without his mask on, but he was still wearing the rest of the costume.

As there were no Ear men in sight and the police were capable of getting Zuphixy free. The police took Zuphixy back to the police office so they could talk to him in private about why he was tied up. After they got the information from Zuphixy, he went back to Purpleten‘s place at let everyone there know that he was safe, but also to update them on what he learned while being undercover

Just then, Zoofixy Jr came into the room and told everyone that the flowers were up. Zoofixy Jr was unaware that his father had gone undercover and that he almost lost him, until he overheard his father telling the news that the Oidohombres were planning to start a war.

When everyone heard that the flowers had come up, they all went to the back yard to check if they could use them so that Zuphixy and his mother could come back to their world. Zoofixy Jr then said “If there is going to be a war, I wish we could have the heart shaped flours magically save the whole city, by having all the living wheelchair transform in to people is your World”

Zuphixy responded to his son by saying “I agree with you. I also wish we could save the city, but as for the flowers helping us with that, I don’t think that would be a good idea because we don’t know if the flowers even work!”

Now without anyone else in his family knowing, Zoofixy Jr gave some seeds to some of the living wheelchairs who lived next to their place. He told them about the magic powers the flower was known to have, and that he was trying to protect them from the war. Zoofixy Jr made it sound like the flower would just block the Earmen from fighting the war, instead of telling them that they would go to another world. Zoofixy Jr thought it would give a better chance of the living wheelchairs using the flowers.

Now most of the living wheelchairs that got the seeds were scared that the Ear men would be able to track the seed down. So to be safe, some living wheelchairs burned the seeds and others just gave them back to Zoofixy Jr. They told him that it was not safe to have these seeds around if the Oidohombres were going to start a war over these seeds.

Meanwhile the Ear men went to check on Zuphixy and see if he was still tied up, and they found out that he was gone. When the Oidohombres learned that Zuphixy was gone they started to fight with each other. They started to think that maybe one of the Earmen was Zuphixy still dressed up as one of them. Six of the dozen Oidohombres died due to the fighting. The last six Earmen decided that the rise of Oidohombres dying in a war was not worth the fight with the living wheelchairs.

The police decided to play it safe and assumed that Zuphixy was right that the Earmen were planning a war. They decided to warn all the living wheelchairs that there may be a war with the Oidohombres. When the living wheelchairs heard that there may be a war on their city, some of them started to leave the city in hopes of finding a place where they would not have to be scared of the Earmen. Now most of the ones that were moving away were the ones who were new to the city. The living wheelchairs that didn't want to move have been living there since the beginning of the town. They said that there was no point in moving. They believed anywhere they went the Oidohombres would find them.

Back at home, Purpleten, Zuphixy, Zoofixy Jr and Miss. Quzefuly making the plans to test out the magical flowers. Zuphixy asked “How will we know you are who you say you are, when we don't know what everyone is going to look like in the other world?” Everyone there came up with a test that would prove who they were and gave it to the others that would be asking. After that they tested each other out, they memorized what the tests said, so that if they lost the paper copy of the test then everyone would still know what was on them.

Purpleten and Zoofixy also had to know what they might look like if they did end up in the other world. So Miss. Quzefuly showed them photos of what people looked like, so that they would not be scared of what they may change into. After everyone was happy with the testing method, they all went out into the back yard and they each picked a heart shaped flower and put it in the shirt pocket. As soon as they let go of the flower, everything around them started to fade away, which scared everyone.
