How Many Mysterious Wheelchairs are there?

Chapter 5: Zuphixy back in Silla-Tierra

When Zuphixy left the university he was surprised that his surroundings were not what he expected to see. Instead of being in a small town, he was in what looked like a city as there were skyscrapers in the distance. Then Zuphixy heard two old male living wheelchairs talking together and one was saying, “Why did they get rid of the magical heart shaped flowers? Now the Oidohombres are back and we don’t have the magical flowers to save that old lady who just came to a city a few weeks ago!”

The other male living wheelchair added by saying “From what I know; at the time the town decided to get rid of the magical heart shaped flowers, it was understood that the Oidohombres would never come back. Yet here we are so many wheels later after that boy who called himself Zuphixy was here. I also heard that the old lady claimed to be Purpleten’s mother in law.”

Just then Zuphixy walked past the two male living wheelchairs and told them that he had overheard what they said about the Oidohombres being back, and that he just learned that the magical heart shaped flowers were gone. The men were scared that Zuphixy was one of the Oidohombres and thought that he was going to kidnap them. But as soon as Zuphixy realized that they were scared of him he went on his way. Zuphixy was trying to figure out where he was and he was trying to find out what was going on with the Oidohombres and their magical heart shaped flowers.

Zuphixy found himself in front of Purpleten’s place where he saw the footprints that looked like ear prints. Now Zuphixy knows from the last time he was in Silla-Tierra, seeing ear prints like that meant that the Oidohombres had been there sometime since it rained last. Then he saw that the ear prints had stopped and there were tire marks leading away from where he was towards where the forest used to be. So he followed them until they suddenly stopped in the middle of the city. The new part of the city that was where the woods used to be when Zuphixy was last in Silla-Tierra. Then he noticed the river and he followed it until he came to a bridge and he crossed. Once he was on the other side of the river he realized that was where he ran away from the dogs that belonged to the Oidohombres when he was sixteen. The house that belonged to the Oidohombres back then, was run down and looked like no one had lived there for years.

Suddenly it started to rain heavily so Zuphixy decided to take cover in the run down house. When he got inside it was not much of a cover from the rain as the roof was leaking, but he found one place that kept him ninety percent dry. Just then there was a clap of thunder and a flash of lighting. Then Zuphixy heard someone scream in fear of the thunder. The scream shocked Zuphixy, as he thought that he was by himself. So Zuphixy went to investigate the run down house. Zuphixy found his way down to the basement. When Zuphixy got in the basement he saw that it did not look any different then when he was there all those years ago.

In one of the rooms that he passed by, he saw a female living wheelchair tied to the wall, which unknown to Zuphixy was his mother! So Zuphixy decided to see if he could rescue her. He went up to the old lady and was surprised that she was not scared of him. To be sure that she knew that he meant no harm he said “I am going to untie you so that you can be free!” To Zuphixy’s surprise she did not show to be upset so he went up to her and untied. Miss. Quzefuly was so shocked from seeing her son and was also terrified of Oidohombres that she didn’t dare say anything to Zuphixy.

Meanwhile the storm had stopped, so Zuphixy and the old living wheelchair left the run down house. They crossed the bridge before the old living wheelchair said a word. The first thing that the old living wheelchair said was, “Oh! Zuphixy am I ever glad to see you!” When Zuphixy heard what the old living wheelchair said, he was puzzled. Why would the old living wheelchair be glad to see him? As no one was expecting him, that he knew of. Zuphixy was also shocked by how much the old lady sounded like his mom, but yet she did not look anything like his mom! She aged as well, because time goes faster in Silla-Tierra, which made it impossible for Zuphixy to know that it was his mother.

Now Miss. Quzefuly knew it was her son. She was also shocked that his son was in Silla-Tierra. So she asked “what brings you here?”

Zuphixy still didn't know it was his mother and just said “I heard that an old lady was kidnapped and decided to see if I could find her. In my search I end up finding you, and because you were tied up in that collapsing house back there, I am assuming you are the lady that everyone is talking about.”

Miss. Quzefuly then told her son everything that has happened to her since finding herself in Silla-Tierra. She left out the part about getting to this world because she could tell that he did not know that she was his mom and didn’t know how to prove it to him right then.

Just as the old lady, Miss. Quzefuly, finished telling Zuphixy what had happened, Zuphixy saw some Oidohombres on their way towards the bridge. He took the lady into a store that was near to them, hoping that the Oidohombres did not see them. To be safe, he and the old lady went to the back of the store so that shelves of the store would hide them. Which must have worked because none of the Oidohombres came into the store. After spending some time in the store to make sure that the Oidohombres would be far away, they left out another door and made their way back to Purpleten’s place as Zuphixy remembered where he had gone.

Zuphixy was hoping that Purpleten would be home, but wasn’t sure. It is possible that Purpleten could be out looking for the old lady just like he was looking for his mother before he found himself in Silla-Tierra. Where he ended up searching and finding the old lady.

On the way up to Purpleten’s house, Zoofixy junior came out, and was shocked to see his father and the old lady. He dashed back into the house and passed Purpleten, who was making dinner. When Purpleten saw how scared her son was, she at first thought that the Oidohombres were there again. She looked out the window, hoping that she could see Oidohombres without them seeing her. She was scared that they would get her if they saw her. Purpleten was relieved she didn’t see any Ear men, but she was just as shocked as her son to see Zuphixy and let him in. When she opened the door for him, she saw the old lady with Zuphixy and asked them both to come in.

Once everyone was inside, Purpleten told Zuphixy how the doctor had done tests and found out that the old lady was Zuphixy’s mother. Afterwards, Zuphixy told Purpleten how he had found and saved his mother, even how they had to hide from the Oidohombres.

Ms. Quezfuly told Zuphixy how his son had been getting in trouble with the law. Zuphixy could not believe that his son would be a person who could get in trouble. He asked his son in private why Miss. Quzefuly would have the idea that he was a trouble maker. Zoofixy Jr. admitted that he had been in trouble with the law multiple times over the wheels that Zuphixy was gone. Zoofixy Jr. also told his father that he regrets blaming the other living wheelchairs and he promised that he would never get in trouble with the law again. Zuphixy confirmed with his son that even if Zuphixy had to go away again, that Zoofixy Jr. would keep his promise. Zoofixy Jr. said he would not get in trouble with the law. He also said that he didn’t like the idea of Zuphixy having to leave him again and wished that there could be a way that everyone could stay together.

Once everyone was up to date on what had been happening, Miss. Quzefuly said, “Well with all these days passing, my husband must be wondering were I am. Now with Zuphixy being here as well he must be going out of his mind wondering where we both are! I just hope he doesn’t think that we have died, like I though when Zuphixy first came to this world when he was only sixteen wheels old”

Zuphixy agreed with his mother that his father was indeed out of his mind looking for them. Zuphixy even admitted that when he was in their own world, he was also scared that he couldn’t find his mother. But he was glad that he found her in Silla-Tierra.

Meanwhile the Oidohombres had gone back to the run down house where they had tied the old lady in. The Oidohombres went there to see if they could get any more information from her, now that they had left her there for the day in the storm. Little did the Earmen know, Zuphixy was back in Silla-Tierra and that Zuphixy had untied her and helped the old lady back to Purpleten’s place. The Oidohombres were shocked and upset when they got to the room, it was empty. So the Ear men left the crumbling house and went searching for the old lady in the city. But they did not dare go back to Purpleten’s place because they knew that the police would most likely be looking for them there.

The next day at Purpleten’s house, everyone was chatting about how Zuphixy and his mother would get back to their world. Zuphixy reminded everyone that last time he was in Silla-Tierra, it was the heart shaped flower’s magic powers that sent him home and made the Oidohombres vanished.

To which Purpleten said, “I thought it was because you had said ‘let’s go home’ that made you vanished and that it was the heart shaped flower magic powers that kept the Oidohombres away from my town.” Zuphixy said. “No it was not what I said, because I had said that at other times while I was in Silla-Tierra last time. It only happened that one time. So I believe that heart shaped flower’s magic powers did both.” Purpleten’s son said, “It does not matter what happened back then, all that matters now is that we all stay together. Because I miss you too much to see you go again father!”

Miss. Quzefuly then asked “Where can we get a heart shaped flower? And does that mean I have to see the Earmen again? Because I'm scared that they will just kidnap me again!”

Purpleten then said “To my understanding, when the city was being built, they got rid of all the heart shaped flowers to make room for all the new places you see so ….”

Just then Purpleten’s son interrupted by saying “Good! Then you both have to stay here and I can have my father live with me again!” Zuphixy then looked at Purpleten and said to her “What happened to the heart shaped flower seeds I kept in case something like this happens?”

Purpleten had forgotten all about the seeds. Zuphixy saw on her face that she didn't know what he was talking about. So Zuphixy got up and went to a room that was his bedroom when he was in Silla-Tierra last time, and noticed that Purpleten had left the room the same since then. He looked in the back of a closet and found a bag full of seeds marked heart ‘shaped flower seeds’ and took them to Purpleten who was in the dining room with her son and his mother.

Purpleten saw what Zuphixy had in his hand, and then remembered how they had kept them in case the Oidohombres would come back like they did now. She also knew that it would take some time for the flowers to grow. So She said to Zuphixy “They are so old we don’t even know if they will grow”

Zuphixy said “I know, but if these flowers are the only way that my mother and myself will ever see my father again, don’t you think it worth a try?” Purpleten didn’t want to upset either Zuphixy

or Miss. Quzefuly, she said “Go ahead plant them in the back yard.” She said it in a voice that anyone could tell that she was not really happy about it, but let him do it anyway.

Zoofixy was not happy with the idea that his father may not stay with them forever after all. So he tried to stop Zuphixy from planting the seeds. When Purpleten saw what her son was trying to do, she sent him to his room as punishment for stopping Zuphixy for doing what she knew he had to do. Now Purpleten wished that they could all be together, including Zuphixy’s father who was not in Silla-Tierra right now.

Purpleten took Zuphixy aside, out of hearing range from both her son and Miss. Quzefuly, to talk to him about how it would be nice if he and Miss. Quzefuly didn’t have to leave. Instead, find away that Mr. Quzefuly could be with them, so he could meet his grandson. Zuphixy agreed that would be nice, but he didn’t want to get anyone's hopes up, if something like that could not happen. Purpleten then responded “Well maybe if everyone has the heart shaped flowers on them like you did last time, maybe then we could all go to your world then.”

Zuphixy said “I didn’t even think of that! But then again, that might not work. In my world, my mom sits in a wheelchair and so do I. In my world the wheelchairs don’t talk, so I'm scared that when you get transformed, you will be my wheelchair and you won’t be able to talk. Also, I’m not married in that world. So what will happen to our son? Will he become my mom’s wheelchair or will something else happen to him?”

Purpleten responded “Well, you do have a point there, but what differences does it make if I am here in this world and you are in that world? I can’t talk to you then. If we are all together in your world, I can’t talk to you, but I know that at least you tried to stay with me.”

The next Day Purpleten and Zuphixy sat down with Miss. Quzefuly and Zoofixy Jr. They asked each of them what they thought about the idea of all of them trying to go to the other world, so everyone could be together forever; if the magic lets them. Zoofixy Jr. was most happy with the idea of possibly being all together forever. Miss. Quzefuly was the most against it. She was scared because she didn’t know how her husband would react to seeing two new people in his life so suddenly. How could we prove to him that they are part of the family? As she realized she was outvoted, she said “Do what you like. Magic isn’t real. I am just dreaming about what is going on and I am going to wake up in my room in the other world and everything will be back to normal.”

Just then there was a knock at the door. Purpleten went to answer it, and saw the police chef at the door. He told her that he was going around the city telling everyone that the Earmen were upset that the old lady had escaped, and they were searching every house for Miss. Quzefuly. Then Purpleten told the police that Miss. Quzefuly was with them and asked the police to help her keep Miss. Quzefuly safe. The police said he would do his best. The chief added “Without the heart shaped flowers and without Zuphixy’s skills at being a good detective, I’m not sure what we can do.” When Zuphixy heard his name he had thought that Purpleten had asked him to come to the door. So he went and saw Mr Stripe. The police chief was shocked to see Zuphixy.

Word spread around that Zuphixy was back in Silla-Tierra. The news turned into a rumor claiming now that Zuphixy was back, he would save the city from the Oidohombres, like he did all those wheels ago.

Now it seemed that Zuphixy had no choice but to try to save the city. So the next day he went to the police station to see if he could help them like he had done last time. Zuphixy was tasked with finding out where the Earnmen had been hiding all the wheels (or as you know them as years). Zuphixy asked how he could find that information without getting caught like the old woman. It was decided that he should find a way to make himself look like one of the Oidohombres.
