Zuphixy

How Many Mysterious Wheelchairs are there?

Chapter 2: Zuphixy could not find his Mother

Meanwhile in the real world, Zuphixy, who was now in his twenties, had gone to University to become a doctor. One day Zuphixy got a call from his father that his mother was diagnosed with ALS two weeks ago, and that she was wheelchair bound. So the next day he traveled to his parents' place for a visit. When he got there he learned that she had disappeared, which shocked him!

Now, it was at least five years since Zuphixy had gone to Silla-Tierra, and he had forgotten all about what had happened to him when he was sixteen. So he went to the police, who happened to be the same police chief that helped his parents look for him all those years ago. On this day the police chief was in a bad mood and told Zuphixy that he could not help him. The police chief had said “It would be a waste of money to do a search and then have her show up a few days later. Just like you had done all those years ago”. With no help from the police, Zuphixy went to his father who was known as Mr Quzefuly. Zuphixy and his father talked about how they should search for his mom without the police’s help. Now Mr Quzefuly had retired from his job as a computer technician and was very upset when he heard that the police would not help. He got up from where he was sitting and walked over to the land line phone and called all their relatives to figure out what he should do, now that the police would not do a search.

At the same time Zuphixy texted all his university friends to see if any of them could help with finding his mother. They all said that they would do what they could to help. One of Zuphixy’s university friends worked at a TV station. She used her job to let the public know that the police refused to help find a woman with a disability, hoping that the town would feel sorry for the woman, and find a way to help, even if the police did not.

When the town heard that there was a disabled person missing again, some of them thought, “It’s just someone in a wheelchair. Who cares?”. Others thought “Oh dear, we better find her! Who knows how long someone in a wheelchair can last outside. Maybe she died like we at first thought Zuphixy had!”

That night Zuphixy had a dream where he saw his mother in a prison cell. The dream made Zuphixy think to himself “Did the police put her in jail? Maybe they didn’t want me to know that my mother was in jail, so they used the cost as an excuse to cover up where she is.”

The next day he told his father about the dream and was wondering if he should go back to the police. Mr Quzefuly told Zuphixy “A dream means nothing, and if the police do have her they would have told you. So please, don’t waste your time and theirs!”

Zuphixy went back to University for his classes. Zuphixy couldn’t get the dream out of his head for the whole day. Zuphixy had to tell his university friends about it. They could tell that he was thinking about something else other than what was happening at that moment. Zuphixy’s friends thought that it was a strange dream. They told him maybe it meant that Zuphixy’s mother may have been kidnapped, and that maybe the police did not want Zuphixy to put his mother in danger saving her. Zuphixy’s friends convinced Zuphixy to hold off on searching for a few days to see what would happen.

That night over dinner with his father, Zuphixy tried to convince his father that searching for his mother may put her in danger from a kidnapper. To which Zuphixy’s father said, “If she was kidnapped, there is even more of a reason to find her!”

The next day, Zuphixy and his friends had to go back to class. Zuphixy was stressed from knowing that his mother had disappeared, and the idea that she may be killed if his father kept searching. The stress that Zuphixy was going through caused Zuphixy to have a grand mal seizure in the middle of class.  Everyone in the class was so scared that the seizure was some other health problem, like a bug that was going to kill Zuphixy that they rushed him to the attached hospital. Now Zuphixy had thought that he had outgrown seizures when he decided to become a doctor. Until this day he had not had one for about ten years.

Over the next few weeks every one around Zuphixy tried to convince him that it was not safe for him to be a doctor if he was having seizures, as it would put anyone he was helping in danger. Zuphixy refused to give up on being a doctor, saying, “First of all, this was the first seizure I had in ten years! Also, if I go back on taking some medication there should be no danger”.

Meanwhile, Zuphixy’s father, Mr. Quzefuly, kept searching for his wife, Miss Quzefuly. He flew his drone over every where that his wife could have gone with her new wheelchair from where she was last seen. The drone showed tracks that looked like they could be from a wheelchair. The tracks could also be anything else that has tires like bikes. Mr Quzefuly followed the tracks which led him to a wheelchair that was parked at the side of a lake next to an old man who was going fishing. After that Mr Quzefuly followed some other tracks that went to the door of the university. Mr Quzefuly knew his wife had not been to the university after she was diagnosed with ALS, so it couldn’t be her.

Mr Quzefuly followed more tracks in his car, but this time he was stopped by two teenagers who were doing bike tricks. One of them fell off the bike just as Mr Quzefuly was passing them. The teenager who fell ended up hitting his head on the road and was laying unconscious. So Mr Quzefuly decided that he should help the teenager to the hospital in his car.
